D’Orsie Announces More Than $730,000 Coming to the 47th Legislative District

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester) is pleased to announce that four projects in the 47th Legislative District will be receiving money from the state’s Multimodal Transportation Fund and the Small Water and Sewer Program.
“In the interest of public health and safety, it is necessary to invest in our roads and infrastructure,” D’Orsie said. “I’m pleased that our local communities are receiving these dollars.”
Multimodal Transportation Fund
• East Manchester Township will receive $300,000 for highway improvements along Willow Springs Lane.
Small Water and Sewer Program
• Manchester Borough will receive $145,137 for storm sewer replacements and road construction.
• Northeastern York County Sewer Authority will receive $186,400 for pump station upgrades at Orchard Business Park.
• Wrightsville Borough Municipal Authority will receive $100,000 for a water main replacement at Cherry Street and North 4th Street.
The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the Commonwealth. Funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development.
The Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program awards grants to municipalities and municipal authorities for water, sewer, storm water and flood control projects with a cost of not less than $30,000 and not more than $500,000. Funds may be used toward construction, improvement, expansion or rehabilitation or repair of a water supply system, sanitary sewer system, storm sewer system or flood control projects.
