Policy Hearing to Spotlight York County’s Data-Driven Approach to Water Quality

WHAT: House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata), Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester) and other lawmakers will host a hearing titled “York County Leads with Data: Advancing Water Quality Through Real-Time Monitoring” to discuss the significant efforts underway to protect and improve the quality of York County’s waterways.

WHO: Testifiers will include Hon. Julie Wheeler, president commissioner, York County; Wade Gobrecht, director, York Planning Commission; Barron Shaw, president, York County Farm Bureau; and Jill Whitcomb, deputy secretary, Office of Water Programs, Department of Environmental Protection.

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m.
