D’Orsie: Traffic Safety Improvement Project in Conewago Township Slated to Receive $700,000

HARRISBURG - Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester) announced today that Locust Point York Holdings, LLC will receive $700,000 to construct traffic safety improvements on Locust Point Road located in Conewago Township, York County. The funding is through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Multimodal Transportation Fund.

“Locust Point Road is a heavily traveled thoroughfare in the 47th, and I believe improving this busy stretch of road is prudent,” said D’Orsie. “I am glad to see that the improved safety of our citizens is being prioritized.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the Commonwealth. Funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development.
